EUROPLAN CONFERENCE – 20 January 2011
EUROPLAN (European Project for Rare Diseases National Plans Development) is a 3-year project funded by the European Union which began in April 2008. Its main goal is to develop recommendations to establish A National Strategy for Rare Diseases in each member state, including Ireland, by 2013.
A conference to formulate Ireland’s national plan for rare diseases took place at Farmleigh on 20 January 2011 and was attended by all stakeholders including national authorities and health care planners, health care professionals, researchers and patients.
